    The best door stop. Versatile, easy to use. Simply the best, most versatile door stop money can buy. Multi-function allows several ways to block open a door. I keep a couple of these in my camera bag for use in my photography business. 5PARENTS: Unreachable protection from little fingers getting mangled at the door jamb! These things are great! We're using them for protection against our twin toddlers. The ability to hang these from the top hinge of an open door and protect against one wrenching the other's fingers in the gap is priceless. An unexpected surprise: You can also wedge it in the insertion side of a closed sliding (pocket) door, up out of reach to keep the munchkins from opening them. This was posing a real problem because wedging something in the bottom was derailing the sliding mechanism on top, and eventually they'll be strong enough to un-do anything they can reach. Wedging it in the side like this puts a little wear and tear on the paint on the trim and door, but that's a small price to pay in the business of toddler control!Note that it does not fit on our doors in the manner shown in the pictures where it sits on top of the door and holds it at a 90 degree angle, although I can't imagine when that would be an optimal setup. Haven't tried it as a traditional door stop, but the black rubber seems like it could be just a little stickier. 5did not perform I was very disappointed. I bought the wedge-it for our hotel stay and it did not work I had my husband test it with me in the hotel room and he in the outside hallway. Unfortunately he was able to open the door very easily. The only thing we could attribute it to was the tile floor. The wedge-it would not "grab" that type of flooring. 1Great Door Holders I was having a hard time imagining from the picture and description how these actually work. I had been trying to find large enough rubber wedge type door stoppers for doors the were not close to the floor. I also needed them not to slide on tile when wind gusts came through. I was not having much success.I ran across these Wedge Its, and because of the good ratings, I decided try these. I open two doors on each end of my house to let the air blow through. That is fine except that gusts can pull the doors closed with the vacuum created by a gust of wind from each side. With these Wedge Its the doors stay put! They were simple and easy as I placed them over the middle hinges and everything holds strong.The added bonus is no rubber/plastic wedges to trip on laying around on the floors. I wish I had known about these a long time ago. 5Works Well Where Others Didn't Before this I tried a FatIvan and it did not fit the entrance door from the garage into the house. This is a large metal door with hinges that have an auto-close feature integrated into the hinge. This causes the diameter of the hinge to be larger than a normal interior door. The metal hook on the Ivan is not large enough to slip over the hinge. This one slips over just fine. I note that some people complain that these break at the top of the "U" that goes over the hinge. I could see how that could happen. It's pretty thick, but if you tried to close a door with this thing in it there could be a lot of force applied and the top of the U could break. So I have just been careful and so far no problems. 4Hotel door security! I travel quite often for work and stay in hotels all over the world. Many co-workers have reported in certain countries (all different hotels) of finding someone standing in their room when they got out of the shower or woke up in the middle of the night. I jam this under the door and test to make sure it won't open. There has to be a small gap (1/4") under the door for this too to work well. I use this in conjunction with Adalock. I've never had a problem with someone entering my room.When I'm home, I put the Wedge It on the hinge of the spare bathroom so my dog doesn't accidentally close the door and get trapped inside (she likes to sleep on the cool tile sometimes). It is very versatile! 5Nobody Closes Baby's Fingers in the Door This is one of the best household tools I've used to date. I found our about this little doodad about a month ago from a coworker and it really did solve so many problems around the house. It works in places that a traditional door stop does not work (kitchen door to garage opens over a laminate floor and so it is too low and slick for a traditional door stop to work). I also have a 9 month old that has entered the "try to close my fingers in the door every time I turn around" phase and so I can put it into place and hold any door open so baby cannot manipulate it. It will even hold the garage door open the entire time I unload groceries from the car. Overall this is a simple and useful piece of equipment. 5This wedge (can) break... I use these 2-3 times a week for cleaning office buildings to keep doors open. They do work well ( but ) if you place this in a door hinge improperly in a heavy door, the door will break it. How do I know this? I broke one last night. I need these for my job. I have 3 of them and use them all at one stop. So I paid for a replacement. These do work but you need to be gentle with them. Place them in the door hinge properly and allow the door to come to a rest upon it gently. The cost is too high to have to buy replacements again and again. 4Versatile door stop. Works Great! I work as a bellman at a busy resort. This product will probably help save my knees over time. I was looking for doorstop that could be hung on the hinge. This product does the trick. Lightweight but design and quality of product works to keep doors open well. Has a place where you could clip carbineer too if you wanted . Glad I made this purchase! 5Where have you been? Update 7/1/19: Just got my 4th one. Have accidently left 3 at customer locations. Haven't had an issue with using them at all. I noticed one reviewer said his broke. I could picture it breaking when used hinge-style and someone pushes on the door, that would be a lot of force. Nevertheless, mine have been fine in all 3 positions and all floor types. I wonder if some people realize it has more rubber on one side, and obviously that side contacts floor. Common sense? I'm not so sure.-------------Works great. Would definitely buy again if lost (paranoid it will get stolen). I use doorstops often, my job is moving heavy equipment into doctors offices. This is best one I've found, so easy for the hinge mode, even though it's usually a little less than 90 degrees. Have also used "top of door" mode when I needed the door open 90 degrees and it worked also. I actually haven't tried it on the floor yet - haven't needed to. I keep it clipped to a large carabiner on my tool bag, very convenient. 5
