    ... clips work really well and I was able to easily use them on my bulbs and new lampshades The clips work really well and I was able to easily use them on my bulbs and new lampshades. But the shaft that the finial screws in to is short so the finial can not screw on. It's really unfortunate because these were suggested with the shades (at the bottom of Amazon screen where you see what you want and then the + sign). I used something similar to what I use to keep things from falling over in an earthquake to hold it and the finial in place and it's working. Had the shaft been a correct size I would have given it 5 stars. 3Great idea Wish I had known about these little things a long time ago! They work well to attach a shade normally requiring the a lamp harp to a shade that clips onto the lightbulb. Saved me from having to rewrite a lamp. 5These clip-on lampshade holders work great! I have two small antique lamps which were missing the original lamp shade harps. Since it is almost impossible to match harps, I decided to try these clip adapters and they worked like a charm! Very reasonable prices too. 5Works exactly as it was meant to do. Grasps ... Works exactly as it was meant to do. Grasps the bulb tightly yet allows movement to direct the shade to wanted position. Comes with shade holder finial which is utilitarian but can be replaced if desired by a more decorative one (at added cost of course). Fits my needs. 5Too flimsy I got these because I found it hard to find lamp shades with light bulb clips in them. I finally found them and didn't need these adapters. I was glad of that. These clips are so thin that when you put them over the bulb they stretch out and are not tight on the bulb so the shade slips around. 2These Bulb Clip Adapters are great! I'm sorry that I haven't discovered these before! They can be used instead of harps and change the height of your lamp if you want -- plus -- so easy! The clip does "fit" the standard bulb size, but can be used on smaller bulbs -- just won't be as tight and secure. I am hoping there will eventually be more of these bulb clips to fit smaller bulbs! 4Glad I did not order more I purchased these to convert 2 short (9"-10") desk lamps so I could install the glass dome shaped shade from my broken lamps. These adapters are flimsy and cannot hold much weight. Also, I use 15 watt bulbs in my desk lamps and these adapters simply do not stay in place. They are designed for the larger size of the 25, 40, 60, etc. watt bulbs. Glad I did not order more. 1Works! What a relief to find these bulb clip adapters! Hardware stores don't seem to sell "hardware" anymore and travelling the aisles of a big box store can be fruitless. These were perfect for the new LED bulbs. I still wish that everything wasn't made in China. 5Mine were defective These look great but the pack I received appears to be defective. Both of them have a very short threaded shaft on top and none of the lampshades I own can be mounted on them. All my other lamp shade mounts have much longer threaded shafts. 1cheap but great Worked perfectly. Not loose. Works so much better than a jury-rigged coathanger lightbulb holder, which I had used for years. 5
