    Great idea, poor design (fell apart)Unfortunately, it fell apart before we could use it even the first time. For a few days I played with it to see if I could put the pieces back together, but today I returned it with regret. I gave it an extra star because it is indeed a great idea, but apparently not a good design. I love the idea, but hate that it fell apart. The color selection is also a bit gaudy (kiwi is not horrible), but that's a moot point. 2One-handed salad serverI go to a lot of potluck meals with local women s clubs and often have salad bars. The Snapi is very useful and allows one-handed salad serving-instead of having to find a place to set your plate down to use both hands with other type of salad servers. 5These really work!A friend had these at our work Christmas dinner this year. They were in the salad she brought. We all thought they look sort of strange and started to bypass them. We were glad we didn't! They scooped up every bit of salad you wanted on your plate. Nothing fell off.They work fabulous. So much better than salad tongs. Everyone at party wanted to know where you could get them. We were told she purchased hers at an expensive kitchen shop, so of course I checked Amazon. I bought several pairs for extra Christmas stocking stuffers.Don't look like they would do the job but they are great. 5Simple to use and kids love to use the server to place food on their plates.What a clever idea for salads, spaghetti, anything that requires 2 forks to pick up your food. One handed server - easy to clean, close and store. This would make a great gift for someone with kids. Kids would be able to serve themselves and then have to eat what they placed on their plate !! 5Besides being great to get salad out of the bowlI've owned one of these for a long time and now started getting more to give friends and family. Besides being great to get salad out of the bowl, it's a great conversation piece, everybody wants one. I really suggest that everyone get one of these. I love mine 5This is a great little inventionThis is a great little invention! I love it! It is so easy to grab salad fixin's! Lightly spring loaded so you squeeze it shut and then it will pop open when you loosen your grip. I want to see how it does with spaghetti! Highly recommend! Am thinking of buying some for gifts, too! 5YOU CAN KEEP IT CLOSED FOR STORAGE!YOU CAN KEEP IT CLOSED!I almost did not buy this because a reviewer mentioned that there is no way to keep it closed for storage. Yes there is! Just push the piece of plastic on top of the Snapi and it will stay closed. To open, just press both sides against each other and it will click open. Love love this thing! I wish the colors where more stylish though, they look like toys... 5I am usually pretty good with such things but maybe like some people ...Very practical to dish out salad or pasta portions w/ one hand. I still have not figured out how to keep the gadget shut while storing it as it had no directions with it. Per other buyers comments from Amazon and on a TV show, they said you could snap the gadget shut but I bought two of them and have not figured out how to do this yet. I am usually pretty good with such things but maybe like some people commented...they may be defective in that regard. I keep the rubber band that came with it to keep the gadget shut so it will fit in my gadget drawer. All in all, I find the Misto Snapi Single-Handed Server easy to use and clean. It comes in several colors and I bought both of mine in white as all my serving ware is white. So far, no stains from sauces, etc. 4One of the handiest tools I ve ever had for the kitchen!I have had mine for many many years.Someone that was visiting made loved it so I gave it to them. 5Definite Great Buy!This little gadget is the perfect salad companion. It "grabs" a serving of salad or pasta and holds it securely until you release it onto your plate. Even small pieces are secured, and won't fall out. Be aware that the button that controls the closing for storage has to be manipulated a few times as first, but works fine after it "catches" the first time. This is indeed a wonderful invention, and I have ordered several for gifts. 5
