They can be used on either inside or outside mounted shades. For inside mounted shades you will need approx. a 1/8 gap for them to fit. Each order comes with a pair (2 tracks) each track is 1-1/4 X 1-1/4 by a little over 1/8 thick. Each track also comes with two magnetic strips, one is attached and the other get stuck to your wall surface. The outside of the track or the side you see is either white or black but the inside of the track is always black. This is so light can be absorbed as it tries to reflect into your room.
