The ICM Input Control Module is a plug-in home automation interface designed to transmit UPB commands and status over the existing powerlines upon sensing low voltage or contact closure events. It's perfect for interfacing off-the-shelf motion sensors, light sensors, occupancy sensors, pressure mats, RF remote controls, pushbuttons, etc. to the PulseWorx Lighting Control System. Simply plug the ICM into any standard wall outlet and wire the device to one or more sensors. The Input Control Module provides two independent channels of general purpose isolated contact closure sensing inputs to activate single lights, trigger dramatic scenes, or send messages to a central controller. The ICM can be configured to send any UPB link command to turn on or off a light or group of lights upon a change in the input (open/close) state. Toggle between two different commands per input. Close the input once to activate a scene - close it again to deactivate the scene. Each input can be configured with a jumper to sense either a dry contact closure or an AC or DC voltage as long as it is within the Class 2 limits of 30V. An easy-to-wire four terminal connector enables terminating two off-the-shelf sensors or inputs from as far away as 1000 feet. The inputs can be set to respond to either a momentary switch press or a maintained switch closure. Each input is completely independent of the other input and can be programmed to activate and deactivate any link when it is closed or opened. Each input sensing channel can be temporarily suspended when the ICM receives a specific UPB Activate command. It can then be unsuspended upon receiving a specific UPB Deactivate command. This is very useful for setting up a keypad pushbutton to suspend an input at special times that you don't want the "normal" sensing to occur. Like all PulseWorx devices, the ICM can be initially configured using PCS's free UPStart Setup Software tool. Manufacturer Part #: ICM.
