    Far superior to bristle brushesI always thought bristle basting brushes were a little unsanitary because you can't put them in the dishwasher and they leave behind bristles, so I used a wadded up paper towel to apply marinades. This basting brush washes beautifully, is extremely cute, and obviously does a better job of brushing sauces on fish than a wadded paper towel. A must for a grown-up kitchen-- I'm serious.5Yes, it's a good one! Norpro silicone basting brush - my old basting brush was starting to look nasty and was losing bristles, so did a search on amazon and selected this one based on reviews and the fact that it's dishwasher safe. I just tried it for the first time and really like it. Much more control than the type with a lot of thin brittle bristles. The brush performed well ...marinade went on super easy. The clear handle kind of makes it look cheap, but that's my only complaint! 4Use less butter to prepare pans or cookie sheetsI melt between a teaspoon and Tablespoon of butter at power 50% in the microwave until it starts to melt. Then I brush away. Silicone is floppy and won't scrape solid butter so you will need liquid butter. The brush works great on rectangular baking pans or cookie sheets. Before this brush, I would hold a stick of butter like a pencil to grease cookie sheets and pans. Now I don't use as much butter and the pans are easier to prepare well so nothing sticks. And, this brush never sheds.5A Great product at a Good priceDecided to make the purchase of the basting brush to see if it was impeccable as advertised. Definitely was surprised to see how resistant the product was as soon as I started using it. Even after putting it to the test of washing it in my dishwasher to see if there would be any problems. There wasn't any at all. Looked brand new and I am completed satisfied.I needed a great product at a good price and thats exactly what I got.5A Great Basting BrushI really love this brush. The silicone bristles really coat food evenly in a single pass. Which totally speeds up my prep time, as I m a bit ocd and need whatever I m basting to be completely evenly covered. Better yet is how fantastically the brush cleans up after throwing into the dishwasher. It looks brand new after each wash. I could not be happier with this modern updated take on the traditional basting brush.5Handy brushes, easily washedI bought two, use one for sauces at the grill, no problem on hot meats, and the second one for my bread making egg wash. They wash easily in a little sudsy water and dry quickly. Spect I will have them for a long time. They have a clear smooth plexiglass type handle and the silicon portion upon inspection, can actually be removed for special cleaning and reassembled. My older Oxo hair type brush came unglued and was not repairable so these are definitely a big improvement.5Oil it up BrushI've had the old style wooden handle bristle brush for years, however, I hated cleaning it because you could never get it clean enough. Love this brush, easy to use and very easy to clean. No wood is great. Silicone is so easy to wash out. Nice decorate look also. Wish I had one of these a long time ago. Threw out the old wooden one the same day.5Perfectly Satisfied! After trying several other models, I finally found the perfect basting brush. It s a pleasure to cook and bake with and so easy to clean! I just stick it in the dishwasher and there are no residual marinade stains. This basting brush holds all of the liquid throughout its smooth bristles for an amazingly even baste and a perfectly tasting dish. I use it for spreading marinades on meats and butter and creams on pastry dishes and none of the bristles are left on my dish as can happen with traditional basting brushes. I plan on using this for a long time as it is very sturdy and looks to be long lasting. 5Love it.This thing is great. I've got no complaints. I use it for icing pastries, egg washing baked goods, slathering sauce on BBQ and more. It's great. I throw it in the dishwasher when I'm finished using it, and have never had a problem.5Cooking in the KitchenNorpro 2018C Silicone Basting Brush, BlueWith Thanksgiving around the corner, I needed a new basting brush to replace a much smaller one that barely moved any sauce around. I knew that Norpro was my go to brand, I have a few other silicone cookware and this brush is a great addition to my kitchen. I love the color, it fits perfectly in my hand: not too heavy, not too light. The handle also says it is heat-resistant up to 500 F, which is great for people, like me, who sometimes leave cooking utensils on the stove. That makes it great for grilling, spreading bbq sauce on some sausages and chicken with ease. No worries about leaving behind any bristles like with a natural basting brush. Not to mention an easy clean up so I can use it for my main course and again for dessert.5Awesome little kitchen tool I had a silicone basting brush before that my dog got a hold of and destroyed and I missed it dearly whenever I made BBQ chicken or ribs. This brush is just like that one but better, a bit bigger so its easier to spread sauces over meat, super easy to clean and held up in my dishwasher. It s an extra bonus that its a nice blue which is my favorite color. This brush is sturdy, works well for various cooking tasks and I would definitely recommend it. No complaints :) 5The must have in the kitchenThank you providing this item. I have moved and could not find all my utensils. This item is fabulous for easy basting and spreading. I have used the wooden handled brush with the hair like bristles and just felt I could never get it clean enough. The bristles on this brush make it easy to see it is clean and the design holds bristles well and for a long time. The brush holds and spreads onto the food easy and the handle makes it easy to use. I have used other silicone brushes where the spread or marinade seemed to just slide off the bristle but this one is great.5Nice and simpleCleans easy, looks nice, and works well. Certainly an upgrade from using the old paint brush style basting brushes; and this item shouldn't get disgusting-looking as it ages. A very handy kitchen/cooking tool.5
