Customer Reviews

Dimension issues? Anyone else have this problem? Not sure what is happening but I've ordered two of these and they are the wrong size - the product dimensions for this product states 6.5 x 1.5 x 7.2 inches which is what replaces my KV25GOXER. However, the size I receive is the wrong size both times... see pictures, the replacement (the aluminum) is not nearly close to the original. 2Worth buying! Okay, when I replaced my KitchenAid mixer w/ arms ~10 years ago, I discovered that the new mixer blade was not enameled. They also tell you to not wash it in the dishwasher. The reason is that the uncoated blade oxidizes and can discolor some food. This was probably a cost-saving decision on KitchenAid s part Nita bad choice for consumers. Rather like no longer having a reset button on the newer mixers. Sigh. This blade also says to not put it in the dishwasher. I do, on the top shelf. It s fine. The convenience of being able to was it in the dishwasher makes it well worthwhile. If I made bread more often, I d get the enameled bread hook too. Also, you can often get this paired w/their 14-wire beater and save a bit of money. Which I did and love both. 5Love this flat beater! I LOVE my KitchenAid 6qt mixer, but the flat beater that came with it kept oxidizing no matter what we did. The first one we put in the dishwasher and then was told we shouldn't, and KitchenAid sent us a replacement and we did not put this one in the dishwasher. Unfortunately it did the same thing. I got this as a supplement flat beater/ replacement and it's great! highly recommend to get the coated beater. 5Do not order this! Sending mine back now. This is not the proper size for the Kitchenaid ProSeries. Also, the dark coating rubs off on your hands and your food. Do not order this! It is defective. 1BEWARE As verified by KitchenAid, the product as pictured is not the KN256CBT, which looks different to what is pictured on the KitchenAid site. Though the picture is what I got, and was even in an original KitchenAid box that said it was a KN256CBT, it was nowhere close to fitting my KP26M1X, as it is supposed to. Hence I had to contact KitchenAid to find out what was going on, and they said the picture is not their KN256CBT. If you order, be prepared to check the delivered product carefully. 1Perfect replacement for Pro 6 series I was so happy to find this after putting my brand new one in the dishwasher only to find the disaster others here have mentioned. I had a KitchenAid tilt head basic for 15 years and loved it. When I decided to move up to the Pro series because I wanted a larger bowl I noticed the look of the blade was different but never did I think it was not dishwasher safe. Why on earth would they do that when everyone uses dishwashers? Must be cheaper construction material (I guess it's aluminum). I was sick that it was ruined after one use and though I knew I could eventually get the black gunk off with steel wool, chances are we would forget again. I was wishing I hadn't given my old mixer to my son. This replacement blade is perfect with the same coating my first KithenAid mixer had. While I still don't like the new mixer as well as the old one, I LOVE that this blade was available as a replacement so I don't have to remember to hand wash. Went through the dishwasher just great. Some reviewers complained of chipping. My old mixer had a couple chips that were most likely my own fault when I put a spoon in to scrape but it served me very well and did not continue chip. If it had, for this price I would have just bought a replacement anyway. 5KitchenAid could do better This is the second one of these I've bought after the original's coating started chipping away. The first one met the same fate. These aren't that expensive, but they really should last longer than a few years before chipping and requiring replacement...no one wants pieces of the coating in their food. 3This can't be healthy Washed it before using it and after it dried this is what happened. It leaves a nasty dust like residue. 1Fit fine to my 10 years old bowl lift kitchen aid ... 6 months later started to peel Fit fine to my 10 years old bowl lift kitchen aid professional mixer. Same as the old one but with intact coating. Didn't use long enough to see how long the coating will last, but hoping that will stay for another 10 years like the previous one.Downgraded the beater from 5 to 1 star. Today noticed it peeling. Extremely disappointed. It lasted about 6 months with very little use, never put it in the dishwasher, always washed right after use with soft sponge. Now I have two peeling beaters. Shame on you, KitchenAid. 1Wrong Picture, Correct Part There are some confusing reviews on this site regarding whether the pictured part is correct. The coated flat beater picture is incorrect. There is no silver rod protruding out the mount. The picture for the burnished version is correct, and the coated beater will look like that except for being coated white. The KitchenAid part number , KN256CBT, is correct and the white beater you will receive will be correct without the protruding pin. 5
