which works great! The wood surface is smooth
Fatter than most pins; which works great! The wood surface is smooth, unlike another pin I had purchased. Ty!
5Rolls effortlessly and nice size
Great rolling pin perfect for making pizza dough. It's a pretty large pin- can see how it large it is compared to my full sized stove.
5This a sturdy rolling pin but not long enough
This a sturdy rolling pin but not long enough. The picture is very deceiving. Not like the actual product. The first one I received had dents in it then I ordered an exchange. The seller is kind enough to provide me with a second rolling pin for free. Unfortunately this one has the same defects and not long enough as shown in the picture. Not very happy though. Want to return both.
3Handles are VERY weak.
The handles of this are mounted on thin metal rods that do not pass all the way through the rolling pin. This means the handles bend as you exert force onto whatever you are rolling out. Because of this, a lot of force your using is not transfered to the pin and lost. For a soft dough, you may not experience this, but any high gluten, elastic dough is going to be very hard to roll out and you will most certainly bend the rods.
2Good pins for my use
I use this pins to make old-fashioned clothes wringers. They come in varying lengths, so I can make a custom sized wringer. They don't warp by being wet. The wood doesn't degrade from being wet, either. They are easy to disassembly for my projects, and they are cheap enough for me!
5Nice heavy soild wood on a tight budget
This is beautiful soild wood, but I got the first one with a large knot in it that was attempted to be filled with a wood filler product of unknown sort, but it still had a enough of a rough divet so I exchanged it. I got a new one and it had a small area that I thought might work ok and it does. It is a nice heavy rolling pin. 10 inches is shorter than I thought, so I may buy a different one in the future. This does roll nicely once you unscrew it and get it rolling for a bit like other reviewers said. If it had not had the knots, I would give it more stars. If it was longer like what I was expecting in my mind vs. looking at a ruler it would get even more, however that isn't fair since we haven't yet arrived at mid reading and correction based on such expectations so I can't dock it for that in reality. Over all for wanting a nice heavy wood pin on a budget this is a good choice.
4Great basic rolling pin!
This is just a basic rolling pin. No thrills. If you use enough flour on whatever you are trying to roll out, you shouldn't have a problem with it sticking. My only real downside about this rolling pin is that it is incredibly light. It has no "rolling force" on its own. So it makes it a little more challenging to roll out dough and things. But if you're looking for a nicer rolling pin, spend more money! This is a GREAT, basic rolling pin!
4Good weight and size
I haven t much experience to compare rolling pins. I am quite satisfied with this one.
5excellent quality, but a bit large
beautifully made with some nice details, but it's a bit large and, unfortunately, the beautiful detailing on the handles create a place for flour to hide and are difficult to clean. The roller, itself is solid and easy to clean.
4I was disappointed with the rolling pin
I was disappointed with the rolling pin, it looks longer in the picture than it really is. What is needed is one that is at least six inches or more longer, especially for rolling pie crusts and cookies. I already have one that is a bit longer than the one that was sent to me but the bearings in the ends have worn out and it keeps falling apart. I was really looking forward to this new one. I'll keep it but I'm not happy with it, the wood is good though.
