    Yup. This is the one you need. Reasons and best practices below.Quite simply. This is it. Time to move on. I use this every day, in every meeting of my corporate job. I'm a "Power User" of this thing. Below is what I like about it and best practices. This review is long because there was a time in my career where I simply wanted to know what other professionals were using, why and how.If there was a tee shirt dedicated to this notebook I would wear it. If there was a product user hall of fame for this notebook, I would be the statue out front. I've bought and used one after another for several years now. With each new purchase, I peruse other offers here on Amazon and none of them have the necessary features for daily business use.Here's what I like about he Cambridge 6100 notebook:1) Thick and sturdy cardboard hard covers with a faux leather coating. Looks professional and provides support when you are in a meeting without a desk and writing on your lap or when you need to write on the back of a page and need support. Never get flexible covers (they're a pain to work with daily). Never get plastic covers (they look like high school). The inward surfaces of the hard covers are white paper for you to write on for quick reference persistent notes like identification, names and org structures..2) It's spirals are durably designed to allow full fold-over lay-flat, so you keep it open all day without taking more than one 8.5x11 footprint on your desk without destroying the binding. The spirals are black plastic coated metal giving it durability and sophistication as well as designed to not get easily get bound up like high school notebooks. Always choose spiral notebooks instead of bound notebooks.3) pages are college ruled. shallow lines for lots of notetaking per page. Pages are perforated but I never take them out (kindof the idea of a notebook), but every now and then someone else (looking at you wife and teenage daughter) and it helps to give them a piece without leaving that trail of mess. Pages have an outer margin vertical line behind which I put immediate to-dos or today's big rocks (large important to-dos).4) transparent front plastic pocket. Meant to carry something important, but works best for smaller than 8.5x11 papers. true you can get one in there but it takes some finessing. if there is one design flaw to the notebook it is how hard it is to get an 8.5x11 paper into this plastic pocket. But it ends up being a virtue because if it worked properly, I would be tempted to carry and forget about stuff in it. I now use it for business cards and other smaller pieces of paper temporarily.5) The stickers, oh the stickers. They help so much. When you are done with the notebook, you keep it around for reference as is its intended purpose. When I'm done I note the year and number (2018 #2).Best practices:1) Use one and only one notebook. Not a separate one for work, another for church, another for personal...just one. The purpose of a notebook is to be the one stop shop and keep you from having your to-dos and notes on post-its and various papers across your life. Having multiple notebooks for different areas of your life invalidates this benefit of "The One Notebook". Also, with multiple notebooks you invariably cross contaminate. Adding personal notes to your business notebook and visaverse when that happens to be the only notebook you have in your hands at the moment. Just use one. Color code it if you have to but just use one.2) Every day I come in, draw a line across the whole page wherever I left off yesterday and in the left column write the date under the line. If through the page I spill over onto the next page, I write the date in the upper left and 'cont' for continued. Whenever I'm in a meeting or call, I write the name of the meeting and draw a thick walled box around the name to easily find where meetings started. If I ever absorb an action or make one for myself I start that line drawing a circle with a star in it for easy and quick identification. Then when I move that to-do to my cloud to-do tracker, i scribble out the circle-star. That way at a glance, I immediately can see that I've audited and transposed everything.Enjoy. 5... notes for my science and math class so I'm pretty specific in what I want in a notebookI take a lot of notes for my science and math class so I'm pretty specific in what I want in a notebook. This is great because I don't need to use a desktop or clipboard in order to write in it. The covers are hard so I can write on it anywhere. I'm definitely buying them again, I just wish that they came in different colors. I'm always afraid that I am going to grab the wrong one for class, since they're all black, so I bring both to each class to be sure I'm not taking the wrong one. 5Excellent NotebookI have struggled for years with planners. Pages complicated with section and subsection for which I have no use. I bought this looking for a fancy notebook to write down some professional thoughts and ideas. I ended up ginally finding a format for writing down daily the simple notes of my trade. What I have been assigned, what I have delegated, what has been completed, and the days major events. I immediately ordered a second for my professional musings. I also ordered some .5mm weighted pens to write on them with. It would be a shame to smear heavy ink or have some cheap ball point sliding all over the page. 5Premium notebook, at a good priceVery good notebook, has a very premium build to it that is unsurpassed by almost any other notebook i know of around this price range. The sticker came off very easily, something I was worried about from other reviewers saying it was hard, the trick it seems is to make sure it is warm or hot. Other than that it is a very good notebook, I love the dedicated spot for the date, it has proven extremely useful. 4Nice, but that sticker on the front needs to go...I wanted to like this notebook. The lines are nice and narrow, the paper is smooth, and it's very sturdy. Unfortunately, It arrived with a giant sticker baked onto the front. Even though I tried to pull it off slowly and gently, it ripped the front of the notebook in several places, making it look beat up and cheap. When you're paying a bit extra for a premium notebook, it shouldn't be ripped up on the front from the first moment you get it. They should have used a type of sticker that released more easily (or better yet, no sticker at all).Otherwise, it's a great notebook. If you like to travel light, you might find the thick cardboard covers to be a bit much, but it's a very nice notebook with adequately thick paper and a handy plastic pocket. I just wish it wasn't all ripped up from a stupid marketing sticker. 2The nicest notebook out there.First of all, these are pricey for notebooks. But they are so worth it.The whole book is so sturdy and put together. I carried this around for an entire semester and it still looked brand new towards the end. None of the metal loops got mangled, and all the pages stayed nice and straight.The paper is college ruled and I love the size. Great for those who write small.And the quality of the paper. I can't even describe it properly. It is thick and smooth and writing on it feels great. I use a fountain pen and it glides across the page. It makes taking notes such an experience.I have personally repurchased this 3 times. And will continue to do so. 5kinda still drunkishExactly what I needed, delivered on time, but it's prime so yeah 2 day shipping was free anyways. Heard a lot of bs about the stickers ripping up the cover. Well I'm half drunk still from last night, just downed a yuuuge burrito and a beer to kill the hangover. And now I'm home, want a nap, and kinda still drunkish... so all in all I don't have time to screw with stickers. Ripped the thing off and no problem with the cover, hell there wasn't any residue from the glue. So if you aren't an idiot the sticker isn't a problem. Enjoy the notebook, I'm gonna fill mine with a crap load of notes and scribbles of math I'll hopefully never use again. Btw who said going back to college at 28 was a great idea... gonna punch him when I find him. 5Great Potential Ruined by Faulty SpiralFirst off, the sticker removal is very smooth and easy. It doesn't leave residue or anything, and you don't even have to peel it off super slowly. I've bought 3 of these notebooks and the sticker always comes off smoothly. The point of this review is to discuss the horrible spiraling these notebooks have.The spirals are not connected with anything. They're just bent pieces of cheap metal that are meant to hold their position without fault, which is not the case. Unless you're very gentle with your notebooks, chances are the spirals will come out of the notebook at some point. I constantly reference notes I've previously written, and in quick fashion; as such, the pages and covers of the notebook get flipped around very quickly. This eventually resulted in the pre-bent spirals losing their solidity/form, which in turn resulted in parts of the spiral coming out. See the attached picture to get an idea of what happens.The pockets are also a bit too small for normal letter sized paper. They can fit letter sized pages, but it's a tight fit that requires a bit of effort to get the paper in without damaging it.Save for the spiral and pockets, these notebooks are phenomenal. The pages, the covers, the aesthetics, the general feel and solidity (except the spirals), are all great; but, if the notebook can't stay in one piece, I can't recommend it. 2These are good notebooks. I was unhappy that when I pulled ...These are good notebooks. I was unhappy that when I pulled the sticker off the front page, it lifted the material and now looks kinda cheap. I bought 2 and it happened to both. I bought them for my business and was hoping for professional notebooks that were sturdy for taking notes in business meetings. I wish I had something else to be honest. Plus the rule is small on the pages, I was hoping for a wider rule. Also the "pocket" that is at the front may measure 8.5"x11" but I struggled with all my strength to get a handout in there at a business meeting. Overall, I'm not very happy and will not buy again 2Expensive but great qualityVery expensive for a notebook. I gave it 5 stars because I bought it as an add-on, so it was really cheap, and because it's a really good quality notebook. I love the hardcovers and thicker pages. I use Pilot G-2 pens (which are gel-like) to write and draw pics/diagrams and highlight a lot of things (biology notes), and they don't bleed through. Comes with tabs in the back but I haven't used them. College ruled, perforated pages, folder in the back. 5
